Hi, my name is Sam and I’m your friendly neighborhood bicycle mechanic and the new manager of The Bike Shed in Smyrna, GA!

I love bicycles. I love riding them for fun, I love riding them to go to the grocery, I love riding them to haul loads of lumber back from the hardware store. Bikes are the most versatile and efficient means of transport ever devised and I want to share that love with everyone!

I’ll meet you wherever you are and at whatever comfort or skill level you possess. No mansplaining why you should have a $10,000 race bike instead of the comfortable Dutch bike you wanted, or why your favorite style of riding isn’t good enough.

Instead, I’ll work with you to figure out what your needs are, how you’re going to use your new bicycle or components, and what safety considerations we may want to think about and then help you pick out a selection of bikes or gear that will best suit your individual needs.

Rates

Rates for common services. For more, see our Services list.

Adjustments ($50)
Includes adjusting breaks, derailleurs, hubs, and lubricating the drivetrain.
Tune Up ($100)
A complete bike tune including washing the bike, truing wheels and rotors, adjusting bearings, shifting, and brakes, and torquing components.
Custom Build ($450)
We work with you to build a custom bike from the ground up!
Flat fix ($15)
Includes replacing the tube and re-seating the tire.
Hub Motor Fee ($40)
Added to any service that requires removing a hub-motor wheel.
Wheel Build (standard) ($120)
Single wheel build incuding initial consultation.

Book rate or $100/hr

Other days by special appointment only.

Environmental

We use only biodegradable bicycle chemicals if available including greases and lubricants. Performance components (for example, fork oil) use manufacturer recommendations.
